National Judging 10th March 2015
This is the third year running I have been privileged to be involved in both the regional and national awards run by EEF.
The standard of entries gets better each year and it is truly inspiring to hear what some companies are achieving.
Despite the fact that it is hard enough in manufacturing to just deal with the day to day all the entrants have demonstrated how they have really pushed the boundaries in terms of their industry sector and the issues facing them or indeed what is the issues facing many of us in manufacturing.
Having listened to the presentations I was overwhelmed by the passion and enthusiasm that each entrant had in term of the challenges they had faced as an organisation and how they had overcome them. Not only overcome them but truly championed the changes.
What inspires me is that many have a story to tell of the journey that they have done, whether large organisation or SME the challenges face by us all are common. It is heartening to know that (a) we are not alone in the issues we face and (b) with hard work and dedication mountains can be climbed.
Thanks to eef for allowing me the opportunity to take part in this. I strongly urge you whether an eef member not to watch out for the competition when it opens later this year and make the most by telling us your stories.
You may not think you have done much, but we may disagree.
