Perforated materials are a designer's dream. They have many advantages, ranging from weight reduction through to acoustic properties and heat dissipation. Due to the attractive appearance and versatility in form and function, the variety and potential of perforated material applications are enormous.

In principal, any surface or body can be provided with holes through perforating. Depending on the application, nearly all materials can be perforated, with the most popular being mild steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Based on our experience we can manufacture perforated materials from coil to sheet on our modern electronically controlled perforating presses, to a variety of widths and patterns, and within a high degree of accuracy.

We specialise in:

  • Perforated metal and plastic products
  • Technically superior product
  • Flat sheet
  • Coil-to-coil
  • Coil-to-sheet
  • Sheet-to-sheet
  • Interrupted perforation patterns
  • Design input where required
  • Cost-effective perforating solutions
  • Fully-formed and finished components

As well as the market sectors shown above, perforated metal and plastic is used extensively in a variety of markets.

At Bion we specialise in a range of patterns as standard but work in partnership with our customers to meet their end requirements.

We supply both narrow and wide strip in sheet or coil in a multiplicity of thickness and variety of material, including stainless steels, mild and galvanised steels, aluminium, brass and plastic as well as precoat materials and plastic.

For customers who so require our strength lies in our expertise in producing interrupted perforated patterns in flat sheet, used in applications where plain borders or internal margins are an integral part of our customer's product design.
