Project: Medieval and Renaissance Galleries Refurbishment

Job: Perforated aluminium infill panels

Holloway White Allom, specialists in building, restoration and maintenance of prestigious properties, acted as main contractors on the Victoria and Albert Museum’s refurbishment of the Medieval and Renaissance Galleries.

Holloways appointed Aspinalls who Robert Bion & Co worked closely with to develop a draft design, detail, supply and install 82 no 600mm x 600mm infill panels, sitting between translucent glass roof beams.

The panels comprised a powder coated aluminium angle frame with an anodised perforated fascia sheet. To provide sound attenuation, an acoustic grade felt was applied to the rear of the fascia and rockwool insulation was fitted to the aluminium frame.
