Berkshire Senior Section trip to Switzerland

This summer I was fortunate enough to participate in a Berkshire Girlguiding trip to Adelboden, Switzerland, having fundraised for the trip, with the support of Bion.

The purpose of the trip was to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Senior Section, a section of Girlguiding for young women between the ages of 14-25.  As well as taking part in many adventurous activities, such as white water rafting and zip lining, we also visited Our Chalet, one of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts World Centres.

This gave us the opportunity to learn about and connect with young women across the world, something that the whole group benefited from massively. As the majority of the group did not know each other before going, we all had the opportunity to form new and lasting friendships.

Overall, we all gained a lot from the trip, it enabling us to have many new experiences and create lasting memories.
